Single-User Installation

How to install ProPay on a single computer.

System Requirements

Before installing, verify your computer meets the System Requirements.

Before You Begin

You need:

  • Administrative privileges on your computer
  • Internet connection to download the installer
  • Your license code (provided by email after purchase)

Important: You must be logged in with administrative privileges to install ProPay properly.

Installation Steps

  1. Download the ProPay installer from https://paysoft.com/download/PROPAY26.exe
  2. Go to your downloads folder and double-click PROPAY26.exe.
  3. When prompted, extract the files to a temporary folder by clicking Unzip.
  4. Follow the installation prompts.
  5. When asked for the target drive, select C:
  6. The default installation path will be C:\PAYSOFT\PROPAY26
  7. Click Install and wait for installation to complete.

Activate Your License

  1. Launch ProPay by double-clicking PAY2026.EXE in the C:\PAYSOFT\PROPAY26 folder.
  2. When prompted for the license code, copy and paste the code from your email.
  3. Click Download File.
  4. Wait for the "License Installed" confirmation message.

If you receive an error message, temporarily disable your antivirus software and firewall, then try again. Contact customer support at 1-702-827-0015 if the problem continues.

Create Desktop Shortcut

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Go to C:\PAYSOFT\PROPAY26.
  3. Right-click PAY2026.EXE.
  4. Select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).

Verify Installation

  1. Double-click the PAY2026.EXE shortcut on your desktop.
  2. Go to Utilities > Display License Information.
  3. Verify your license information displays correctly.

If the license information displays successfully, installation is complete.

Set Up Printers

After ProPay is installed, you need to assign printers for checks and reports:

  1. Go to Client Functions > Setup > System Setup > Printers.
  2. Select your check printer (must be MICR-capable).
  3. Select your reports printer.
  4. Click Save.

  2. Set up your first Client
  3. Download the latest software updates
