Verifying the Pay Date

It's good practice to verify the pay date with your client before proceeding. Pay dates may deviate from the standard schedule due to:

  • Holidays
  • Weekends
  • Client-specific scheduling needs
  • Special circumstances

Important Considerations

Warning: If you change the pay date, verify that payroll information hasn't already been entered under another date, such as manual checks.

Entering payroll under multiple dates for the same pay period can cause:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Incorrect tax calculations
  • Year-to-date balance errors

What Happens Next

After confirming the pay date, ProPay advances to the employee payroll entry screen where you can begin entering hours and pay information.
