Before You Begin

Create the Wage Reporting File

  1. Go to Client Functions > Electronic Functions > Magnetic Media.
  2. Select State Quarterly Magnetic Media Filing from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select the client(s) you want to include in your filing upload.
  4. Create the file.
  5. Print the internal report (detailed or summary) for your records.
  6. Save the file.

Upload the Report

  1. Visit www.sdwagereport.com
  2. Log in to the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation website.
  3. Follow the prompts to submit your quarterly report online.
  4. Choose your payment method: electronic funds transfer or check.
  5. Review the automatically calculated excess wages and tax due.
  6. Update any necessary account information.
  7. Complete the filing process.
  8. Note the confirmation number, date, and time of filing.
  9. Print a copy of the report for your records (optional).

Unable to select clients for filing upload:

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access client data
  • Verify that the client information is up-to-date in ProPay
