What ProPay WEB Offers

ProPay WEB is an IIS-based add-on that runs on your office server without requiring a third-party hosting company. It connects directly to ProPay's database files, giving clients a web interface to the same payroll data you work with in ProPay. Clients access it through their web browsers using Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or other modern browsers.

Employer Access Business owners and authorized users can:

How ProPay WEB Works

Your Office Setup

  1. A dedicated server PC runs ProPay with the ProPay WEB add-on installed in IIS
  2. IIS (Internet Information Services) hosts the ProPay WEB module and serves web pages to clients
  3. Your router forwards incoming web traffic to your server
  4. Your firewall protects your network while allowing authorized access
  5. A static IP address and domain name make your server accessible from the internet

Client Access

  1. Clients go to your ProPay WEB URL (like online.yourpayrollservice.com)
  2. They log in with their username and password
  3. The browser displays a secure interface to their payroll data
  4. They enter hours, view reports, or manage employees
  5. All changes save directly to your ProPay database

Is ProPay WEB Secure?

Yes. Your payroll data is just as safe as any other data in your office. ProPay WEB runs inside your office router/firewall. The same router/firewall that protects all your local computers from outside intruders also protects your payroll files from unauthorized users.

System Requirements Summary

Before you can use ProPay WEB, you need:

  1. Dedicated server PC - Windows Server or Professional edition
  2. High-speed internet - DSL or cable with static IP address
  3. IIS installed - Microsoft's web server (included with Windows)
  4. Domain name - Points to your server's IP address
  5. Router with firewall - Configured to forward web traffic
  6. ProPay database files - Must be on the same PC as ProPay WEB (the add-on reads and writes directly to ProPay's .DBF files)

> Important: Windows Home editions (Windows 10 Home, Windows 11 Home) do not support IIS and cannot be used for ProPay WEB.

> Important: Your ProPay database must be installed on the same PC where ProPay WEB and IIS are running.

Getting Started

To set up ProPay WEB, follow these steps in order:

  1. Verify your server meets system requirements
  2. Install and configure IIS
  3. Assign a static IP address to your server
  4. Configure your router and firewall
  5. Set up your domain name
  6. Install SSL certificate (optional but recommended)
  7. Contact Paysoft to install ProPay WEB
  8. Configure web users and access rights
  9. Test access from inside and outside your network
