Cannot Install ProPay Web
Problem
The automatic installation of ProPay WEB fails or is unsuccessful.
Solution
Automatic installation (recommended)
For most users, we recommend following the automatic installation procedure:
- Go to the ProPay help topic: ProPay WEB - Update.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in that topic.
Manual installation
If the automatic installation is unsuccessful, follow these manual installation steps.
Note: These steps must be performed from the server PC with Administrator rights.
- Reboot your server to release any blocked executables still in memory.
- Log into the SERVER PC with Administrator rights.
- Go to \PAYSOFT\WEBPAY folder and create a new subfolder named tempupd (if not already present).
- Download root_all26.zip from http://www.paysoft.com/download/root_all26.zip and save it to the \tempupd folder.
- Extract the contents of root_all26.zip into the \PAYSOFT\WEBPAY\WWW folder.
- Download htms_all26.zip from http://www.paysoft.com/download/htms_all26.zip and save it to the \tempupd folder.
- Extract the contents of htms_all26.zip into the \PAYSOFT\WEBPAY\DOCS\HTMS26 folder.
- Download wexes26.zip from http://www.paysoft.com/download/wexes26.zip and save it to the \tempupd folder.
- Go to \PAYSOFT\WEBPAY\DLLS\DLLS26 folder and backup the PATH.INI file and TAXYEAR.GIF file.
- Extract the contents of wexes26.zip into the \PAYSOFT\WEBPAY\DLLS\DLLS26 folder.
- Restore the backed-up PATH.INI and TAXYEAR.GIF files to the \PAYSOFT\WEBPAY\DLLS\DLLS26 folder.

- Verify you have administrator rights on the server.
- Ensure all required files are downloaded correctly.

- Ensure you are using the correct username and password.
